The PROGRAB series gripper heads ensure precise, product-safe handling in automated packaging and palletizing systems. Each gripper is customized to the specific product and process, delivering high reliability, throughput, and process safety. 

As part of the modular system portfolio from project Service & Produktion GmbH, PROGRAB grippers integrate seamlessly into existing robotic or gantry handling solutions.

PROGRAB grippers perform automated pickup, positioning, and placement of products. Depending on the variant, handling is executed via mechanical, pneumatic, or vacuum-based systems, optimized for product weight, surface characteristics, and packaging requirements. 

Customization & Integration 

Each gripper module is precisely adapted to the customer’s specific needs. Dimensions, gripping mechanics, and interfaces are tailored to product formats, weights, cycle times, and line layouts. 

Integration is facilitated through standardized mechanical and electrical interfaces, allowing grippers to be easily incorporated into conveyor lines, palletizing stations, or packaging systems. 

The modular design allows multiple grippers to be combined and connected to higher-level control systems. Interchangeable components such as jaws, suction cups, or claw designs enable flexible use across different industries and product variations.

Product Variants

  • PROGRAB J100 – Slat Gripper Head 
    Designed for layer palletizing: opens over the product layer, centers via servo drive, and closes synchronously with the push movement. Ideal for stable, layer-by-layer handling. 
  • PROGRAB S100 – Vacuum Gripper Head 
    Operates via vacuum principle: lowers over the product, generates suction, and releases by turning off the vacuum. Perfect for smooth or delicate surfaces. 
  • PROGRAB Z100 – Claw Gripper Head 
    Designed for palletizing bags. Compact claw mechanism allows precise gripping and placement, e.g., into cartons. 
  • PROGRAB K100 – Clamp Gripper Head 
    Grips products via clamping jaws, lifts, and releases after transport. Suitable for stable, solid products. 
  • PROGRAB M100 – Multifunction Gripper Head 
    Combines clamping, vacuum, and claw mechanisms in a single system, covering a wide range of applications.
